Harvest America Corporation is a bilingual multi-cultural nonprofit organization in service to our community. Established in 1981, Harvest America seeks to combat the conditions of poverty that affect migrant and seasonal farmworkers, Hispanics, rural and all income challenged families in Kansas. Through the development of partnerships with participants, government, business and service providers, Harvest America promotes family strengthening, self-sufficiency, empowerment and civil rights.
A community-based organization, Harvest America is governed by the overriding principle of community ownership. To that end, Harvest America has established Target Area Councils to recognize the cases of the poor, advocate the needs of their communities, and provide the leadership of the organization.
